We use VMware for our current virtualization. I am currently planning on upgrading our Virtual machines from Windows Server 2012R2 and would love some advice on the best way to do it. Do I do in place upgrades for everything except for the DC’s. What kind of problems can be expected when upgrading from 2012R2 to 2019? Does everything get brought across during the upgrade without issues. All VMs are currently backed up using Veeam Backup & Replication.

Any advice or information would be appreciate.
