I am not great at coding but I am resourceful. I took a contract for building a product configurator for a company that makes customizable IV stands, medical rollcarts, and workstations on wheels. I’ve already listed all possible combinations for the products in excel using the power query and operator formulas. I would like to integrate the configurator to the company’s already existing website. I have been researching Tacton CPQ a bit, but I fear I don’t have the technical knowledge to implement something like that. I am asking the real professionals, what would be the easiest way to produce a clean, CAD automated, product configurator. Anything helps. Thanks!
I first tried to produce multiple dependent drop down lists in excel, but since there are a lot of options (around 100,000 combinations for most products) it was inefficient to produce tables for every possible outcomes, attribute by attribute. I am sure there are softwares out there that can perform such task better than excel, but the Boss is fixated on starting out in excel. That is why I want to present him a project that is feasible and solid. I am looking for some advice.
