I’m a student in a university taking a computer systems engineering and robotics course. I just completed my foundation year and am keen to get ahead. Thus far in the course I’ve studied the basics of python and have taken a course on C++ and I’ve now hit a roadblock. What do I learn next?

Recently I researched app development and realised that I still have ways to go. I don’t know how to use front end frameworks or how to adapt my code to be used on different platforms. I don’t know many libraries that are used in app development. I haven’t even learned many technical terms that I need to know.

I would like to ask where should I start? should I directly buy a course on app development? should I buy a book on the basics? if so what book, from where? what magazines should I keep track of? what do I need to learn to be a good developer?
