I have an Ubuntu server running on my local network that has a NAS setup on it. I’ve never had any issue accessing the NAS, SSH-ing into it, or pinging the IP. As of yesterday, randomly, I’ve been unable to do any of those things from my Windows machine, it feels as if my IP address was blocked. I am able to perform all of those actions, ping, ssh, access the NAS, from other machines on my network.
I checked the firewall settings on the Windows machine and I have them turned completely off (for testing). I also tested both from CMD and WSL on the Windows machine and every request times out. I’ve tried to check things like IP blocking but I’m not using UFW on the Ubuntu server. Any help would be appreciated.
tl;dr – from Windows machine (with all firewalls disabled) on same network, tried accessing SSH, ping, tried navigating to ports that have web services running on them, none of that works.
from MacOS machine on same network I am able to perform all of the above
The Ubuntu server has a static IP address, the Windows and MacOS machine are both dynamic.
