Computing FFTW wisdom is long in terms of CPU time, but sometimes really worth the effort. This is why I use wisdom files on my local computer.
However I’m wondering whether it is a good idea to share these files.

To what extend is the wisdom computed on one computer relevant for another computer? How similar must the two hardwares be so that optimal plans remain optimal on different computers?
