I have been using k wave in MATLAB to record the intensity patterns of some ultrasound transductors, at different planes of the 3D simulation grid. I have been defining a sensor for each plane, and then running the simulation with the kspaceFirstOrder3D function. But this requires more time as I define more sensors.
