Before macOS Sonoma Dock web apps existed, I was an avid user of Fluid (https://www.fluidapp.com). I placed my Gmail in a standalone web app, and links in the web app I could right click and select “Open in default browser” which caused the link not to open in the web app but in the default browser (e.g. Safari).
