I have a macbook w/Apple Silicon M2 Max running Sonoma 14.3.1.
I ran brew install ffmpeg last December 2023 and it installed and ran fine.
Two days ago I installed an unrelated package (poppler) and brew autoupdated ffmpeg to 7.0_1. I used ffmpeg today and it promptly exits with Killed: 9. The console crash log has this:
