latex threeparttable issues

I am using threeparttable to create a table in latex. The problem is with this command the caption of the table is automatically splitting into half or random width and not in a full sentence width. Is there any way to fix it?

Alignment of references in latex

I have to create one .tex file for final submission to IEEE Trans., I generated bibitems from the bib file and placed it inside the main .tex file. However, the first word of each reference is slightly shifted towards the right (alignment issues with other lines). Any help would be appreciated a lot, I attached a minimal example for better understanding.

Chapter title style

Cannot place latex table at bottom of page when using emulateapj document class

I’m at my wits end here. I am using the emulateapj document class, which uses two columns of text. I have a table that is too wide for one column, no biggie I thought I’d just use the begin{table*} and get on with my day. Problem is as soon as I use the * I have no control over the placement of the table. When I put the table in one column I can use the normal [h] command and it renders as you’d expect, it’s only an issue when I try to make it span both columns. below I’ve tried to recreate the problem with some anonymity lol, but it uses the exact same preamble and when I compile it gives me the same issue, all thats changed are the content of the table.

Reduce the column padding in tabular environment

I’ve tried nearly everything with no success and I don’t know why… I have a tablular with 9 columns and the only solution I found for fitting it into textwidth is using adjustbox, which I don’t like because it scale the fonts it seems. So the numbers on my table can’t barely be seen:
