I am new to istio. Need your help with few questions
Already have nginx ingress controller as a ingress in AKS private cluster, planning to implement istio service mesh for service to service communication.
1)how to confirm the request are going through sidecar( after injecting istio sidecars ) and not using kubernetes service. I tested by removing kube-proxy before implementing istio, still kubernetes service work.
2)how does communication work if service A has side car and service B doesn’t have side car, does it go through side car to kubernetes service without going to service B side car?
3) How to migrate the existing apps to istio service mesh one microservice after the other with mtls strict, it looks for nginx ingress pods to also be having mtls , so i cannot migrate one at a time?

In my current organization , we have setup circuit breaker for ingress. I want to setup circuit breaker for egress to handle server errors of downstream application.
