We remotely manage several hundred Chromeboxes via Google admin, and we can of course easily determine if the boxes are online or not. We are using these boxes for digital signage, and TV’s are connected via HDMI to the ChromeBoxes. I’d like to be able to determine if the attached TV is powered on or not. Via Google admin – Devices/Chrome/Devices/Hardware/Displays, I can see the TV’s device id, resolution, etc., yet unfortunately that info still shows when the TV is “powered off”. I’m assuming there is still some low-powered communication on that port to let the Chromebox know the TV is still “there”, so I’m unable to determine the state of the TV.
