I’m in Russia at the moment and I’m trying to use Firebase Phone Auth for my project. When I a fixed number that I use on my Firebase console and insect the otp, everything works well. However, when I use an actual number, been it a number from Russia or a number from a different country I don’t receive any OTP message and As such it doesn’t send me to me OTP Page.

I am working on a project at the moment where i have firebase as the backend and firebase auth for authentication. I am currently using signInWithPopup for my google login, but i have always heard that this is a bad idea as browsers often block popups and chrome logs warnings for browsers that block third-party cookies. I know that implementing signInWithRedirect is the correct way to sign users up but i’m having a really hard time implementing any of the suggestions firebase gives for best practices when using this. I can’t use option 1 as i am not hosting on firebase (i am hosting on vercel) and self hosting doesn’t seem realistic so i only have Option 3: Proxy auth requests to firebaseapp.com, where i would have to “Set up a reverse proxy on your app server so that GET/POST requests to https:////auth/ are forwarded to https://.firebaseapp.com//auth/. Ensure that this forwarding is transparent to the browser; this cannot be done via a 302 Redirect.”
I have no clue where to start to implement this in a vite react app hosted on vercel. If any of you have worked on implementing this before i would really appreciate some suggestion on where to even start!

I have a working web application with Firebase authentication. I want it to be such that only I (via the Firebase console) can set up accounts and anybody can sign into the accounts that I’ve set up.
