I have a laptop with an external monitor connected to the HDMI port. Everything works fine with kernel 6.9.8. When I boot into the newer kernels (6.9.9 or 6.9.10), the external monitor doesn’t get recognized. Running ARandR says that there is no HDMI port available.

i’m new to Fedora (linux in general) and installed it on my laptop. Been using it for a week and loving it. To the point where i now want to install it on my main pc. Is there a way I can basically copy everything over to my pc without having to do everything from scratch?

I am seeking guidance on entering monitor mode in Fedora 40. While following a tutorial, I encountered an issue as the tutorial was based on an older version of Fedora (specifically Fedora 34). In that tutorial, the command “iwconfig” was used to enter monitor mode. However, when I tried running “iwconfig” on my Fedora 40 system, I received the error message: “bash: fedora command not found.”
