For instance, the City of Vancouver (Canada) Open Data Catalogue publishes 130 datasets. The subject matter ranges from tabular files of city councillor contact information to geographical datasets of zoning districts. Formats range from Comma-Separated Value (CSV) to SHP to KML and beyond.

Edit: writing a more specific question, as per comment, I guess my question boils down to: are dynamic properties designs appropriate for applications with rich UI and complex business logic (as opposed to simpler “data entry” applications)? If so, what are some resources where I could learn more about it?

Relationships in a Chen ERD
I am working on a Chen ERD to model our organizations merchandise. Our central entity is a Style. We have supplemental entities of Color and Season.
