Can testers peer review the developers’ design and code?
I am a junior developer for a small business using scrum / agile development. A long-term goal of ours is to be appraised at CMMI lvl 2. We have a team of 3 senior developers who implement user stories and a handful of junior developers for support.

What kind of metrics, if any, can be collected from requirements development?
We elicit requirements from our product stakeholders by creating and refining user stories in monthly sprint planning meetings. This includes defining use cases, acceptance criteria, and identifying constraints, and the final result is a sprint backlog of user stories. The high-level customer requirements are refined into lower-level product requirements through design reviews among the development team throughout the sprint. The design reviews result in UML diagrams, software interfaces, and, in general, a human language description of various software requirements.
Does a manufacturing plant need to have CMMI (Level 2 or otherwise) compliance?
I’m giving a presentation tomorrow on Software Process and Machine Learning. My primary goal with the process slides are to get across that most of it is really reliant on project management and personal time management techniques. I mention things related to process cycles (waterfall, prototype, spiral, etc.) and I focus on tending away from the idea that any amount of process causes copious amounts of paperwork and bureaucracy.
