I use npx react-native@latest init PupPunch to create a new project but it is an empty folder named PupPunch.
It seems there is no error.
I install cocoapods/yarn/watchman through homebrew.
I couldn’t analysis any possile to make mistake
the result when input npx react-native@lastest init PupPunch

I wonder to create a new RN project with react native cli successfully
