I am working on a book of sorts and I prefer to type on my laptop but I don’t always have it with me when I have something to write. When something comes to me I have to get it written in that moment. Taking notes and trying to come back up with the words I had in the moment is not an option. Typing on my phone is not ideal but It’s not impossible and if the thought is enough that I want it in the folder of text documents that I keep on the laptop I have to copy and paste it through the phone app in Windows and this process is a pain in the a$$ to put it mildly. I can’t stand OneDrive, I actually have it disabled and have it as removed from my devices as possible and Google Drive isn’t much better but I only use that for backups from my phone, I refuse to have it integrate with my laptop nor do I use any other cloud based storage “solutions” to manage my files. I have local storage drives to backup and store my data.

What I wish to accomplish is to have a way for what I write on either device to share itself with what’s saved on the other without overwriting anything that’s already there. I can handle the editing myself, I just want it so that when the 2 devices connect, be it with an app, Bluetooth, wifi, or on an external drive, what I wrote on one device will be added to the folder on the other.
