Im an vedic astrologer/programmer , I know my own ascendant zodiac sign and degree for 20 years.
It doesnt change much from astrology software to astrology software.
But yesterday I stumbled into calculating using swiss ephemeris my own ascendant.
And instead of around 22 degrees in aquarius ( 11th sign ) it is in the next sign around 20 degrees ahead in pisces around 12 degrees in pisces.
It happens with both local executable i have here that i compiled a year ago around april 2023.
And also in https://www.astro.com/swisseph/swetest.htm which is the official teste page for swiss ephemeris current version.
I tried everything , checked north and south east and west latitude and longitude.
Even tried different house systems like placidus , equal and so on and so forth.
All variations are still in pieces. I use Lahiri ayanamsa.
I tried even made up dates like jan 1st 1970 00:00 in sao paulo brazil, and compared with websites like astro-seek https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/ascendant-rising-sign-calculator
It is indeed , even with other dates, giving around 20 or 25 degrees ahead.

I tried everything and expected to find aquarius 22 degrees for my ascenadnt.
Even the software jagannatha hora gives me the same result it has been giving me in the last 20 years . And I know this jagannatha hora uses swiss ephemeris. Could it be a matter of swiss ephemeris different versions? why so much difference?
