My Surface Laptop 5 is beautiful and perfect in nearly every way, but the spatial audio got disabled when I installed the Surface Laptop 5 drivers from Microsoft. Naturally, uninstalling did not fix it. The problem persists despite multiple reinstalls (in-place, not clean/full).
I have tried uninstalling the driver, the Dolby Atmos app, and various other troubleshooting steps. Nothing has worked so far. Support says my only option is to do a full reinstall. At best, this might restore Spatial Audio (including my Dolby Atmos for Headphones and DTS-X via Dolby Access/DTS Sound Unbound), but the Dolby Atmos for Built-In Speakers was missing after a clean reinstall I did a few weeks ago. Dolby Atmos for Built-In Speakers was present when I unboxed the device, but has been missing since that reinstall. Any ideas?
