I am needing to know the procedure/viability of setting a static route from and IP address to a FQDN in windows
Scenario
- I have software that only allows the specification of an endpoint as an ipv4 IP address
- This endpoint now cannot have a static ip address assigned to it as internet service availability/products have changed
- this endpoint has DDNS capability ie a FQDN to ip address (starlink in bypass mode with router setup of DDNS)
Can any advise how I might achieve static routing to the aforementioned endpoint seeing as i can only specify an IPv4 address in the software configuration.
thanks in advance.
I think this is the only way i can achieve the desired outcome of connectivity.
