I’m trying to do a simple task which is importing an excel into SSMS and I keep getting this error message. TITLE: SQL Server Import and Export Wizard

The operation could not be completed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The ‘Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0’ provider is not registered on the local machine. (System.Data)

I’ve read I may need to install Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 but when I click the links people have been posting for it they’re all dead links that Microsoft doesn’t have it anymore. How am I supposed to resolve this error and why do they make it so difficult to import a file? MySQL is so much easier to use but I have to use SSMS unfortunately. If anyone can assist me with fixing his error I would appreciate it!

I attempted to download the file that people had recommended but none of the links work and it’s no longer on Microsoft’s website to download.
