I’m in the process of setting up external access through my home router, using Synology NAS.
I’ve successfully configured reverse proxy settings so that signals go through : WAN -> Synology -> localhost:80 -> home router setting ; i bet these connection makes some problem when my Synology NAS goes down.
So, when I try to set up direct access from the WAN; by configuring the external access port in ipTIME (my home router), I encounter an issue.
When I try to access the router settings via [my DDNS:external access port number], I get an “SSL Protocol Error” and it doesn’t work. btw , [myIPv4:portnumber] works. it makes me crazy. (the IPv4 address = DDNS IP)
I’ve already disabled the firewall settings for the port on Synology, and also the port I’m trying to use is not used on port forwarding.
What could be the problem? Working on this for few days, can’t find the problem ..
