Are your PowerBI Developers SQL Developers?

SQL DBAs if you have a dedicated PowerBI Team do they only have access to data via Gateways?

Do your PowerBI Developers only have access to pre-approved views?
Do your PowerBI Developers have reader in all approved databases and create Views for Dashboard Clients?

What are some errors your have discovered that made you redesign?

I’m trying to avoid falling into traps others may have already found.
