I currently work for an opticians the webpage they use that runs the entire practice has a communications tab. Within this tab there is an sms field where we are able to send sms messages directly to the patient. It automatically gets the phone number from the patients record and then sends a text message from an android phone to that number. Any messages the phone receives are also shown within the communications tab on the web page. I am currently designing my own webpage/software to run an opticians and I don’t understand how they have managed this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have looked at third party software that offers this but ideally I would like to have this function run in house like the webpage that I use now does
