I’m fairly new to Stack Overflow so if there’s any issues with my post, please tell me!
My partner and I are creating a startup and have just launched our website (yayy!). We decided to make this using the Namecheap website builder. I want to also state here that neither of us are web designers nor do we regularly debug websites.
While making the website I found no issues looking at the mobile preview section of the Namecheap web builder, however, once published, I saw that I had the ability to swipe right to see lots of blank space on the mobile version of the site? This issue only presents in the mobile version of the site and currently is only seen on physical devices (I loaded the site on the chrome device toolbar and the Namecheap device view and it didn’t have this issue).
I have seen some people with this issue and tried to follow rectification steps:
Attempt 1) enabling the ‘adjust size automatically’ option within web builder on the individual elements of the site.
Result) didn’t fix issue.
Attempt 2) used the chrome debug functions (F12 menu) and under the ‘device toolbar’ option I have selected iPhone 12 Pro.
Result) this didn’t allow me to scroll like it did on the physical device and hence made me more confused?
Attempt 3) had a quick look through other sizing and proportion settings in the web builder.
Result) didn’t fix issue.
Attempt 4) tried to insert ‘html, body { overflow-x: none; }’
Result) still no luck 🙁
Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time
