I am trying to calculate the SEAc for an ellipse that encompasses 95% of the isotopic data. I know how to plot a 95% ellipse and calculate the overlap. I also know how to generate the summary stats that give you the TA, the SEA, and the SEAc. However, isn’t this SEAc stat for a corrected ellipse that contains ~40% of the data? How do I calculate the SEAc for an ellipse that contains 95% of the data? I realize that I can just use the convex hull area to describe niche breadth, but I have several outliers that will bias the calculations.
I have tried changing the plotting arguments to 0.95 instead of NULL but the value stays the same, it just plots the 95% instead of the standard ellipse on the biplot.
Thanks!
