I have a laptop with 16 GB of RAM, 2.5 of which are dedicated to a ramdrive. The computer is running a fairly recent version of Linux Mint and has a fast SSD as its primary hard drive. I have a good understanding of the value of swap memory and how it’s important. Lately, I’ve noticed from the Htop utility that the swap memory is usually maxed. As a result, I’m wondering if this means I should expand it to make sure that the system is running more efficiently. I’m not clear how much I should expand it to either.
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
