I am a beginner in this topic, I have pictures of food trays and I would like to segment only the food items if they exist, I might have some empty trays. Could someone please tell me what’s the best approach to do so ?

I tried using SAM but it seems that I have to select the exact location of the object that I would like to segment, I am looking more for something where we could detect and segment directly the food if it’s available in the tray
