We are currently developing a solution for one of our clients, which requires an advanced text editor with the following features:
- Integration with Power Automate
- Integration with SharePoint Framework
- Co-authoring (real-time collaboration by multiple users)
- Pagination
- Review Comments
- Features like @mention
- Threaded Comments
- Revision History
- Footnotes/EndNotes/Caption
- Cross References (e.g., dynamically linking content such as referring to table #1, section #n, etc.)
- Export to PDF
- Export to Word
- Track Changes
- Self-hosted and Cloud-hosted options
After evaluating several tools like TinyMCE, Froala, and YJS, none fully met our requirements. Following a discussion with Codox, they recommended Lexical as a potential solution. We plan to integrate Lexical with Codox and further integrate this package with SharePoint.
We are seeking advice and insights from anyone who has experience with:
- Integrating Lexical with Codox
- Any potential challenges or considerations we should be aware of
