i am installing any program like java ,Mysql, node js in my laptop after successfull installation i added path in environment variables correctly but while checking thieir version in command prompt it is showing tht command is not recognizable

i was expecting tht while writing java –version in command prompt it should give me its version but it is saying : C:Usersyoges>javac –version
‘javac’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
