How can you prevent an app from accessing the D drive or specific directories?
As we all know, in the Windows operating system, when a software has administrative privileges, it can access any content without restrictions(Not like MAC). However, for security reasons, you may want to limit its access rights.
While Windows 11 offers the ability to prevent unsigned software from accessing protected directories through the “Virus & threat protection” feature in “Windows Security,” it does not provide a built-in method to restrict authorized software in the same way(Reference URL).
Can this be configured within Windows, or do I need to rely on third-party software for such functionality?
Thanks!
