I am a developer working with a proprietry product in Higher Education (HE) in the UK – I very much doubt anyone would have heard but lets just say the product name is “ABC” and built on Uniface. Its a lot similar to SAP (although I never worked with SAP!)

One of the things HE faces is Identity checks. So when a student Enrols everyone is required to check their Photo and their ID Documents (such as Passport, Drivers License etc). This is very similar to Estate Agents/Solictors where when you instruct them to represent you they verify you. I know from personal expereince they use third party solution which takes a selfie and verifies a document that you upload (such as Passport/Drivers license) automatically and confirms in an instant.

Unfortuantely in HE most solution is manual where student upload passport/photo and the verification is done manually. Is there an open source that I can recommend to our suppliers to build this?
