We are currently facing a critical issue that directly impacts our customers’ experience. Within our system, we manage three distinct product catalogs: masterProductCatalog:Staged, productCatalog:Staged, and productCatalog:Online.
Our data flow begins with the insertion of new products into the masterProductCatalog. Subsequently, updates to existing products are synchronized from the masterProductCatalog. It’s important to note that we never delete products; rather, we update their approval status.
We recently encountered this issue after we created new impexes for a new site/store. This new site has its own productCatalog, and we did not include REMOVE or INSERT_UPDATE impexes for the products. Consequently, our hotfolders only contain INSERT_UPDATE operations for products.
This issue has the potential to significantly disrupt our customers’ experience, particularly with respect to carts and orders linked to the outdated online version of products.
Could you please advise on the potential cause of this issue? Alternatively, if that’s too much to ask, could you provide guidance on steps we can take to investigate and address this matter? It’s worth noting that this issue is currently affecting both our development and staging environments.
Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated.
