How can I transfer data, images, files over internet from my local server to any other location with just one simple command?

I tried using Ssh, but it didn’t worked well and it’s a lengthy process to go with. I did made one such thing to work out but has it’s range limited within my LAN itself. Helpful if someone might give me a clue or something.
