SSHFS-Win Manager connects fine to my Ubuntu VM and creates a drive which I can use to browse the VM and copy-paste files.

But Notepad++ cannot open files from the mapped drive.
In fact, it cannot even see the mapped drive in its file chooser from the “Open a file” button.

When I attempt to right-click > Open in Notepad++, it says:

Microsoft Word can see and save files to this drive.
