I’ve downloaded the MySQL connector 4 java 8.0.21, but i’ve other pc with mysql 5.7.39 (this pc isn’t comaptible with higher versions of MySQL) and i don’t want download the right jdbc for my mysql version, these are the reasin beacuse i’m asking about the backwards compatibility of the MySQL connecto jdbc.
is the MySQL connector 8.0.21 compatible with MySQL 5.7.39?

I’ll hope what that version of the MySQL connector be compatible with that older version of MySQL
