Cant figure this out, but I am running ubuntu 24.04 server on a vm in virtualbox off my laptop, I installed snipe-it yesterday, was working absolutely fine all of yesterday, but then this morning, booted up laptop, powered up vm and now I am getting a server error with access denied to mysql database for that exact same user. I can login to mysql as root and confirmed that, that user has the right privileges to that database. Why would it suddenly not work? Have been running snipe-it for a few weeks and have installed it a number of times so I know how to do it, but this is the first time its done this.

Not sure if this is a snipe-it or mysql problem. I have googled around but nothing that answers the question, its all “access denied to the root user” which isn’t my issue.

Have checked the privileges to the mysql user and it has all privileges.
