But as it is shown in the picture, I wrote some code and compiled and ran it, to get an error like in the picture.

The functions and brackets inside the code doesn’t change colours either, which may imply that the program doens’t recognize the functions.

Also there are no line numbers on the margin on the left, just a margin filled with black colour.

Why is this?
