I have a weekly sales data set and a monthly data set. The weekly file contains variables such as sales, different type marketing investment, date and year weeks etc. The monthly file contains a number of economic indicators (such as date, unemployment, tourists, GDP and confidence) that are not available at weekly frequency.

is there a method to combine both the weekly and monthly data files? if so, can someone help on how i can do this either via Excel or STATA

I tried to do it via STATA, but was unaware with the commands
