I run a steam dedicated server with a game client on the same machine,this is used to be able to see whats going on on the gaming server, Steam for whatever reason sometimes three times a day will boot the player or
sometimes not for weeks.a nice solution would be to somehow detect if the hl2.exe is running and reconnect, or
just connect every two hours. the goal would be to keep the game client connected so i don’t have to rejoin the server from the game browser with every Steam ticket cancelled. Thanks

I have a server auto restart bat and that works fine on a crash or close to restart the server.
