I am a beginner with Visual Studio Code.
I read already a few topics on the subject and configuered VSC correctly to me.
I run the latest version I could download, aka 1.90.0 (user setup)
After doing some research on the above mentionned topic, I also installed the French Language Pack.
I then configured the UI to show the French language but …
The issue is the follwing:
I have to edit and modify a number of existing HTML files, they contain accented characters, you know
the French letters like à, é or è … when I look at one of the files using notepad, the sentences are
displayed correctly in the editor and also in Chrome. When I use Visual Studio to view them I don’t get
any of those “special” characters, I get a diamond with a “?” inside.
What am I missing here to have the original accented characters displayed?
Thank you for any help/advice.
