What is the best way to implement this scenario:
A certain app package name, when launched, enables device’ MEMC (frame interpolation) . Change any apps’ package name with this package name triggers activation of frame interpolation. Downside of this you can only use it on offline games and not on online (cause of integrity checks so the edited app will not start)
Is there another a way to “fool” (or spoof an app) the system that it is running a certain package name (so it triggers MEMC) and apply it to an active running app?
I’ve search all the sytem files and even edited those that contain list of package names, but it does not trigger MEMC. Only using certain package names only trigger frame interpolation. The MEMC chip is a Pixelworks X5.
I’m not a developer and just a root-level device tweaker, hope you/anyone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.
Things I tried:
-
I’ve tried changing package name, yes it works but only for offline games/apps
-
Tried adding my own app’s package name in all of the lines found on the system files that are related to MEMC (gamelists, performance xml, json etc) , but nothing triggers MEMC.
-
The only MEMC triggers are the package names of brand’s sponsored games.
