Is there a way to have a standardised list of countries to work with and align it with the names of countries in my dataset? I downloaded datasets from different websites and the country names are different. I tried to do it manually but I realised I would be prone to errors and my work may not be replicable. What library and set of codes can I use?
I tried to use stringdist library to do string matching. The results being generated are not still aligned. Maybe I have done it wrong.
