Title. I want to know if you can have a light launcher, with more demanding apps within it, that have minimal impact on the device resources when not in the foreground.
How does such a setup interact with the ram?
Do background processes within those apps function like those of other 3rd party apps or does it differ (as the launcher itself is always in the foreground)?
I’m not familiar with android dev, so please do eli5 ;-;
My only attempt at answering my question was observing that the settings of any launcher launches it like an instance of an app (with the launcher’s name).
That, and getting an affirmative answer from chatgpt.
