There is a package that has a bug, and I need it fixed for my use case. Another person already created an issue in the repo and was asked by the maintainer to make a PR. This person made a PR, but it has issues and the requested review is pending for 5 days. Yesterday, I made a comment in this PR, explaining issues and possible fixes, and added that I may overtake this issue and fix it myself.
- If I wait another day and do not get any replies, would it be rude to make my PR with my implementation?
- How should I name my PR, can I just copy the name or do I need to make some modifications? (PR name is important because it will stay in the automatic changelog.)
- Should I credit the person who made the original PR besides linking the issue? If yes, how do I do it?
