I’m trying to back up some files to a thumb drive in Windows 11. The thumb drive is “512gb” (really 460gb) and has 446gb free. The folder I’m trying to copy to the thumb drive is 1.68gb “Size on disk” but reads as 9.21 TERABYTES as its “Size”. Because of that, I cannot copy it to the thumb drive because it keeps telling me there isn’t enough room on the thumb drive.
Is there any way to reset the “Size” value to more accurately reflect its true “Size on disk”? Or am I just out of luck? I’ve already tried optimizing the drive and restarted a couple times but it doesn’t seem to help. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
