I’ve got a problem: I need to work Locally on a site Wich is already online, I’ve got the FTP credentials, and so, I was able to download a full copy of the WordPress site through FileZilla. Now I need to modify the site, I’ve got Loca installed on my PC, but when I try to upload my site, I notice that it’s not in the correct format: Local in order to open a website, it needs a .zip of the WordPress site. I’ve tried to compress the whole sit, but when it gets near the end of the process I always read an error message: Could not add some directories to the compressed folder (or something like that) Is there a correct way to compress the site in order to be workable by Local? If I downloaded the site through FTP, I also downloaded the DB? In order to copy the DB, I need to have the access through phpmyadmin and then make a copy of the DB? Once I’ve got the copy of the DB I need to add the DB at the compressed folder of the WordPress site?
tried to compress the whole project directory (the one downloaded by ftp) but in the end I got an error.
