The definition I read online are that transistors in microprocessors are logic gates.
The 16-bit CPU in N2T can perform basic arithmetic operations and we’ve seen a demo of pong being played on the CPU simulator. The CPU in N2T uses 6 chips that break into a couple of logic gates which is FAR from hundreds, thousands, millions or billions of logic gates in today’s CPU.
What are these millions/billions of other logic gates doing when thinking in relation to the CPU built in the course?
