I’m trying to download Eclipse, but every time I do it, it redirects me to its website telling me to download the latest Java or something. But I already have JDK 22 and JRE 1.8. When I downgrade my Java, cmd prompt won’t return anything and still gives me the same redirect.

I’ve tried downloading JDK 11, 17, 18, and 21. But when I try to check it on the cmd prompt, nothing shows up. java -version and java --version return nothing. I’ve tried to do all of the stuff in advanced system settings but it still won’t work unless it’s JDK 22. I’m just stuck in a loop of installing an uninstalling.
