I’m working on a project for my operating systems class and I need to connect my application to a database, but the database needs to be in a Docker container. and but I always get a timed out error

I tried to connect from pgadmin, from psql and from a visual studiocode extension but i always get a time out error. I already checked the IP, the ports and everything is in order, I can’t find one explanation, I have only managed to do it from a pgadmin that is also dockerized but thats not what i have to do
